Did Jesus Walk With Me?

Jan 26-Feb 1:

Genesis 5:23-24; Moses 6: 33-36

Inspired by the phrase,"Enoch walked with God”

Luke 24:13-35

They walked with Christ one day,

While on a dusty road,

But new it not and bid Him come

To stay in their abode.

And when they did behold,

And there His face discern,

They marveled and proclaimed,

“Did not our hearts within us burn?”

Did Jesus walk with me,

At any point today?

And when my heart was heavy pressed

Did by my side He stay?

Perhaps when I felt joy,

When challenges were won,

Was that His way to let me know

My job had been well done?

And when I felt unseen,

Or when I felt unheard,

Did he draw near to dry a tear

And comfort with His word?

Oh Lord anoint mine eyes,

And open them to see,

The times my Savior draweth nigh

To stand alongside me.
