The Mustard Seed

Matthew 13:31-32; Mark 4:30-32; Luke 13:18-19

To look upon a mustard tree

Standing strong and tall,

Is a marvel when you know

It started out so small.

A tiny seedling, least of all

But one day with great care,

Becomes the greatest of the herbs

Housing fowls of the air.

So too the kingdom of Heaven compares

Ever so small at its birth,

But oh what a wonder to see it roll forth

To cover the whole of the earth!
