A Wise Discerning Heart

June 22-28: 1 Kings 3:7-12

Give me understanding, Lord

Make me to be wise,

Help me judge with fear of God

And not with my own eyes.

Give me a discerning heart 

Help me see the way,

Teach me by Thy truths and give me

Knowledge day by day.

In a world where truth feels less 

Abundant than the lies,

A world constantly growing

Ever learning, never wise.

Give me judgement as Thy own

Set my mind apart,

Give to me, oh Lord I pray 

A wise discerning heart.
