Farewell Sodom

Feb 23- March 1: Genesis 19:12-26

I built my life in Sodom,

In Sodom dwelt my heart.

Though evil fills this city,

It pains me to depart.

But now successful Sodom,

From thee I have to flee,

And all I’ve built within your walls

Will now burn down in thee.

Oh really is now Sodom,

As hopeless as I’m told?

Perhaps If look back now,

Some goodness I’d behold.

No, do not look to Sodom,

Oh mind I pray, don’t dwell,

For evil dwells within her walls

…But too my heart as well.

Farewell my lovely Sodom,

I’ll see you nevermore,

I’ll cast my gaze upon you,

To only look…once more.
