Someday

September 21-27: Isaiah 25: 8

Someday the weight of grief and sin

Will no more plague the mind,

Someday the awful sting of death

We’ll shed, and leave behind,

Someday the aches and longings of

All hopes and dreams unnamed,

Will be bound up and tended to

By Him who victory claimed.

Someday He’ll come to rid the world

Of all our anxious fear,

Someday He’ll come so tenderly

To wipe away each tear,

Someday He’ll lift each weary hand

And mend each broken heart,

Someday He’ll cast all evil out

And bid sorrow depart.

Someday He’ll heal the trodden down

From all that did depress,

Someday His everlasting aid

Will comfort all distress,

Someday He’ll set at liberty

The captive souls once bound,

Someday He’ll come establish peace

To all the world around.

So when your heart is troubled by

The trials of today,

Hold on unto His promise of

That glorious, someday.
