The Lord Looks on the Heart

June 8-14: 1 Samuel 16:7

The Lord sees all with perfect eyes,

What sets His view apart,

Is man looks on the outer flesh,

The Lord looks on the heart.

It is not stature, strength or fame,

Not beauty, wealth or dress,

With which the Lord will judge our life

Or measure our success.

But truly His all seeing eye

Can view the inward part,

To know the very depth of each,

The Lord looks on the heart.
