Joy Comes in the Morning

August 17-23: Psalm 30:5

As the earth stands to the sun

It fills the world with day

Then as it takes its journey round

At even turns away.

It spins according to its course

For purpose it must see

Both light and dark upon its face

For earth and life to be.

And so we bear the sightless hours

When the sun doth sleep

When the darkest of abyss may

Cause our eyes to weep.

But the darkness cannot stay

The Lord will bring forth light

For joy comes in the morning hour

So trust Him through the night.
